Search for a forex course in West Delhi and you will get a long list of results. Some are weekend workshops, some are “mentorship programs” that cost more than a used bike, and a few promise you will quit your job in three months. Most people only find out which is which after they have paid.

Know what you want first

Understand the rules in India
This part gets skipped in most ads, so we will not skip it. Under FEMA and RBI guidelines, Indian residents can trade currency pairs only through authorised channels such as recognised exchanges. RBI also keeps a list of unauthorised forex platforms and has warned people about them more than once.
If an institute never mentions this, or waves it away, take that seriously. Read the current RBI guidance yourself before you open any account.
What a proper course should teach
The order matters. A good course starts with how the market works: currency pairs, pips, lots, leverage, spreads and what a broker actually does. Then comes technical analysis, meaning support and resistance, trends, candlesticks and a few indicators used sensibly.
Risk management should be spread through the whole course, not saved for the last class. How much you risk per trade decides whether you are still trading six months from now. Psychology matters just as much. Most beginners do not lose because they lack a strategy. They lose because they take a bad loss and try to win it back the same day.
You should also get supervised practice on a demo account and finish with a written trading plan of your own. If the syllabus is mostly “secret strategies” and “signals,” be careful.
Questions worth asking before you pay
Ask to see the full syllabus. Ask who teaches and whether they trade themselves. Ask how many students sit in a batch, because a class of forty means nobody looks at your screen. Ask whether there is a demo class, what the total fee is, and whether anything gets charged later. And ask what they say about profits.
That last question tells you a lot. If the answer is a promise, leave.
Red flags
Guaranteed returns are the obvious one. Nobody can guarantee profit in trading. Be careful too if they push you to open an account with one particular broker on day one, or if their proof is a bunch of profit screenshots, which anyone can cherry-pick. “Only 3 seats left, pay today” is another one. A good course does not need panic to sell itself. And if the teacher never talks about losing trades, they are not telling you the full story.
